Then make sure the the blue wire on the Power link (middle link of switch) is connected to the main ignition wire of the car. This will be the big red wire that is connected to your ignition and sometimes even the red (positive) wire to your battery. This ignition wire will be in your cabin under the dash connected to your key system.
The red wire from our relay connects directly to the cooling fan, and the black wire from the cooling fan connects to ground, both wires will utilize our supplied fan harness. If you purchase our relay kit, all required connectors are included to splice wires together.
Or a single relay could be used to control both fans. The supplied diagram is both the most reliable and easiest method I’ve found. It uses our 40 Amp Electric Relay Kit, part number 91064044, and Electric Fan Sensor, part number 91064013.
Simple Fan Relay Wiring The above image is a very simple and basic fan wiring diagram. It can support one or two fans and uses a simple relay circuit to turn them on. The switch can manually turn the fans on or off. If you use a temperature switch, that can be used to turn them on when the engine reaches some set temperature.
Suggested Electric Fan Wiring Diagrams Suggested Primary Cooling Fan Single Speed (ON OFF) Using 12 Volt Switching Devices Only for Primary Activation NOTE: Most stand alone adjustable thermostats (i.e.: Hayden, Flex a Lite or Perma Cool brands) can provide a 12 volt output when activated.
When installing an auxiliary fan or simply wiring the factory fan so that the driver can manually turn the fan on and off, make sure the fan is turning in the right direction. If the fan is not turning in the right direction, air will be blown away from the radiator, and will not help to cool the radiator. To check ...
